ogyThe robotics costumes (also known as "landmates") are cool. The use of small surveillance robots (idea also used by other movies) is quite practical indeed in a real world battle.
Some words about the plot
This time is two women for one man ... not the usual two men fighting for the heart of one woman. In the end the two girls are even helping each other, this is the first time I see this exposed. It is rare to see this as it is usually two man which are generally enemies help each other to save the world(the woman) or something like that which reveals their characters. Actually till the end you just do not get which is the right girl for the guy. As a matter of fact there is a second man in the plot, but his character was not developed in the movie. The commercial element in the movie can again be noticed, but actually it is not that obtrusive. The dessert worms, taken from Dune were stupid to me.
Girls ...
The girls are usually some very pretty in such movie animations, created to be liked by all men worldwide. It surprises me that in this movie there were no big neck openings or naked scenes which are usually fine, but you just feel the commercial idea behind all this. The girl on these pictures is definitely beautiful, my girlfriend also said so. Click on the pictures to enlarge them.
3D
The usual problem with 3D graphics - the eyes are sometimes not that realistic, but the graphics indeed are quite good in this movie!
Soundtrack
The music is fine. I especially liked the song when they are back in the city and they wake up from bed: Basement Jaxx - Close Your Eyes (feat Linda Lewis) and this one too: Asian Dub Foundation - Target Practice. Actually I always find the soundtracks in such movies quite good to listen to.
Summary
Many small details make the movie unique, so I recommend watching it.
